I have been obsessed with visual storytelling ever since my high school job at a movie theater where I started making short films with my cinephile co-workers. Or was it in 10th grade when I made that stop motion film based on my silly comics? No, it was probably the flip books I made with my older brother before I reached the double digits. My parents are still finding those drawings in the corners of their books.
Life took a detour after high school, but the world has a funny way of not letting your obsessions go. While working data entry and later real-estate I worked on anything I could in my spare time: countless short films, direct to DVD horror flics, music videos, commercials and even training videos. After sticking my foot in every door I could find, I jumped ship in my mid 20’s to pursue my obsession full time at an agency in DC. 14 years on working clients ranging from Obama to AARP and I’m still loving the work and learning new ways to challenge myself.
I have some ad awards in a box somewhere, but I think they’re mostly a scam.
Beyond work I’m passionate about the outdoors, cooking, boardgames, and binging shows with my wife and our cat.
